Jessica T. Booth Certified Legal Assistant
Jessica attended undergraduate courses at Delta College, Saginaw Valley State University, and the University of Maryland, Asian Division. Jessica received her Certified Legal Assistant Certificate from the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) in 2005. She was admitted to the Michigan Bar as a member of the Legal Assistants section in 2001. Jessica joined Shinners & Cook in 1997, and focuses on litigation.
“I think clients are comfortable calling me about their case and asking questions that they might not want to bother the attorney with,” Jessica says. “I work in litigation. It can be stressful for clients and it’s satisfying when I can help alleviate their worries. It’s a good feeling when clients feel so comfortable with me that they’ll pick up the phone and say, ‘Hey, I’ve got this problem. Can you help me out?’
“Every case is different, which I enjoy. I like to dig into clients’ issues and do the research to find the best way to answer their questions and support their case.”
In addition to her work at Shinners & Cook, Jessica is an Ambassador at the Children’s Zoo at Celebration Square. Jessica also enjoys community theater, reading, creative writing, and fishing.
